We leave Arusha for Tarangire National Park where we shall have lunch. Today morning we move 2,000 ft below into the huge caldera of an extinct volcano. This splendid natural amphitheatre hosts the largest number of animals found in Africa. Lions, black rhinos as well as elephants share this area with the local Maasai people. Since the grasses are not long, animals are easily spotted. We spend a wonderful morning on the bottom of this crater observing the various animals in this World Heritage Site.
