With a size of 3,840 km², Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s largest conservation area. It is also the oldest, and is home to 76 species of mammals, including four of the big five, and 451 bird species. This great conservation area also hosts one of the strongest waterfalls in the world, Murchison Falls, which is located on the one arm of the mighty Nile River that bisects the park, making this park a must-visit!

Welcome to Uganda. On arrival at Entebbe international airport for your amazing Ugandan safari vacation, you will be met by your guide who will then transfer you to a hotel in Kampala for a night.
Spend your the day at the hotel recouping from the jet lag and the general flight fatigue. In the evening you will be taken to Ndeere cultural center for a traditional cultural immersion musical entertainment before retiring to your hotel for another night in Kampala.
Rise early and have breakfast before beginning the scenic drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Ziwa is the home to the only wild rhinos in Uganda. On arrival check in your lodge, have lunch and rest before going for rhino trekking later in the evening. Retire to your lodge for the night.
Very early in the morning, have a light breakfast and then take a shoebill trek and canoe ride. The Shoebill stork is one of the most sought-after birds and this is one of the only places that you are almost guaranteed to see it. This early morning canoe ride doesn’t only give you the opportunity to see the shoebill, but also to see the beautiful Ugandan sunrise over Lugogo swamp. Return to the lodge, have lunch and later leave the sanctuary for Murchison.
On arrival in the park, check-in to your lodge and after resting proceed for an afternoon/evening game-drive. On this drive, herds of buffalo & elephants, well camouflaged leopards & a healthy population of lions can be seen. Also giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeest, Uganda Kob, waterbucks, & warthogs can be seen. Return to your accommodation for overnight.
Wake up to the call of nature, take a light breakfast and embark on early morning game drive, where you may see Elephant, Lion, Buffalo, Giraffe, Hartebeests and many more. You will return to the lodge early enough to enjoy the rest of the morning at leisure, and later have lunch.
In the afternoon, proceed for a boat trip on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the falls. En route you will see hippos, crocodiles, water buck and a wide variety of birds like the unusual shoebill stork. This tranquil sundown cruise offers the classic view of the Equatorial sunset reflected in the river. The boat stops just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron”. Take pictures of the photogenic and majestic Murchison Falls. Disembark from the boat and take a hike to the Top of the fall where you can see the Nile’s BEAUTY PERFECTED as it plunges 45meters down.
Spend the day at the lodge while enjoying the scenic beauty of the park and the untamed air. In the evening you will be entertained by some of the traditional dancers around a lodge campfire, making for a magical African experience at the dusk.
(Optional) take a nature walk to explore the vast landscapes and varied scenery of Murchison Falls National Park & the surrounding conservation area.
After breakfast, check-out of the lodge and return back to Kampala directly transferring you to the airport for your flight back home.(Optional) transfer back to your hotel in Kampala for overnight then the following morning after breakfast head to the airport visiting one of the craft markets for souvenirs en route.
